Whole Family Catechesis: (Ages 9-99) *Scroll to the bottom for registration*
Why Whole Family Catechesis? Parents are the ones who have the most influence on whether their children will remain Catholic when they reach adulthood. Pew research indicates that 80% of confirmed Catholics stop actively practicing their faith by the time they are 20 years old. Our model invites parents and children to engage in their faith in a fun and interactive approach. It allows parents to fulfill their mission to be evangelizers of their own family and to accompany them through their ongoing faith journey. Although we encourage the entire family to attend, we understand that is not always possible, however, one parent should always attend with their child/children.
This program meets twice monthly from 6- 7:15 pm and is open to family members of all ages and parishioners without school aged children. Members of the wider church family, modeling their ongoing growth in the spiritual life, provide encouraging examples for parents and children alike.
This program meets twice a month on Monday evenings starting September 9, 2024. Unit Topics include: God, Jesus, the Church, the Sacraments, Morality, and the Liturgical Calendar.
The fee for WFC is $50 per family or $10 for a single session. There is a separate fee for sacramental preparation: First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
